Very budget with a grimey feel. So sad that such a brilliant spot on the Tetbury high street is in such undeserving hands. The staff were fairy reasonable to deal with but it is clear that the standards are this place are very low. The drinks are the lowest quality (cheap spirits/cheap mixers) and the food is revolting, nothing fresh or cooked with care.

Great location - right in the centre of town. Nice rooms and good service. It's a pub / restaurant so it can be a bit noisy. Breakfast was great
The only real downside is no parking. There is a free car park a 7 min walk down the road though.
I would stay here again

Stopped for lunch on the way through. Great pub, good service and food and excellent value too. It was busy with locals which is always a good sign too.

Location is terrible - there’s barely any parking.
The staff are very friendly, but I overwhelmingly annoying at breakfast - think from the school of hairdressing, crossed with a small child asking endless questions. People want peace to eat, not to be interrogated, no matter how cheerily.
The room was tiny - it was supposed to be a Queen room it had no wardrobe, only one set of towels for two people, which we only discovered late at night, and the towels were minute and rough. Despite a manager saying they would have brought more - as it is not a 24 hour staffed reception, it would have taken ages. Drip dry, or turn into a prune? There was no shampoo - only body lotion and conditioner. There was just over half a loo roll.
The decor in the room was awful. The leaf thing above the bed was rather alarming - a massive metal construction with multiple extremely sharp edges. Oh what fun if it had fallen down.
The continental breakfast was not inspiring. Nice pastries but the ham was cheap and pretty ceases, as was the cheese, and cold cucumber and tomato slices are just not cutting it for breakfast. There was an excellent chef on the night before - why not provide a full cooked breakfast and homemade porridge - not a pre-packaged tub, without a plain option - that required hot water poured on and created a glutinous mass, so unappetising that even Oliver Twist would have been reluctant to ask for more.
Overall a huge disappointment and we wouldn’t stay again.

Another wonderful stay at this beautiful. We had three rooms and we were all delighted. The decor is amazing and so comfortable. Really dog friendly and lovely staff. We will back again.

Our room was lovely. Staff were welcoming but several times we had to remind staff of our drinks orders that they had obviously forgotten. We begrudge paying £8 for a continental breakfast and thought we could upgrade, the Web site implies you can have a full English. Food was basic but expensive. Gents toilets were a disgrace. We wouldn't stay there again

We travelled up late at night from East Sussex to the Cotswolds and stayed here one night. It was cheaper than a premier hotel and way superior.
The decor was great, even from the pavement! Lots of character in the room and ornate mirrors.
Breakfast was a buffet that was fairly standard, nothing to get excited about.
We liked the bar area, it was nice to grab a drink and relax after travelling. There was road parking directly opposite, which was free early evening until 8am.

This was an unexpected stop as my booked hotel had been flooded out. The team could not have been more helpful and attentive. Room was really nice with a super comfy bed. A hotel with proper character. Food (Evening meal and breakfast) also very good, cooked fresh to order etc. and quite clearly using quality products.

The location and venue are great but terrible service. My Pinot Grigio was sour and undrinkable. My companions tasted it and all thought the same. Hubby took it back and they refused to believe him and said nobody else had complained (love, if you had just opened a new bottle, as you stated, nobody could complain!). Lost AUD20 without as much as a “can we get you something else”. Went to the Snooty Fox and had a fantastic evening. Go there instead.

The bill included a hidden service charge without any mention. The service was not good at all. It started off with a dirty cup. When mentioned to the lady serving it was yanked from my wife's hand. 10 mins later still no cup. Paid £75 for our meals and feel completely ripped off. A defy NO GO.

Dinner is fantastic here, pizzas and burgers are to die for. Be aware that the restaurant is more a pub than a restaurant.
Reception is not always occupied and the bar staff functions as reception too. This does take away from the hotel experience.
We had room 21, which is one of the nicer rooms. We missed a bath, which would have been really nice, the bathroom itself was clean, however the shower looked a bit aged.
The room was spacious with 2 doors opening to the outside/beer garden. There were no guests in the garden when we stayed there, but it would be stealing from your privacy if there where people. They would be looking right into your room.
Overall a nice hotel in Tetbury, but i rank it ranks as satisfactory and no better.
